WORKING WITH PARENTS
Caring for someone else's children is a job which has a huge responsibility, working in partnership with parents is key to making it a success.
I always welcome families into my home and spend as much time as I can with with them before children start at my setting, so that I become a familiar face for both the parents and children. I work with all parents and carers to meet the needs of their children and wishes with regard to values, beliefs, practices and behaviour management.
I always welcome comments and suggestions as this helps improve my childcare service.
I use a contact book/diary for parents to see what their child has been up to during the day, this includes pictures, work they have done and any information parents need at the end of the day.
I also compile an individual learning diary for every child, recording their development and progression through the EYFS.
